30 Days of Awesome Ladies - Day 11

Day 11: Favourite OLDER Female Character
Kitty Forman (That 70s Show)

Ok, so Kitty's not old old - probably mid-40s when the show began, and mid-50s when it ended, but within the show she is the matriarch, and she is still admittedly older than most of the characters in most of the shows I watch, so she qualifies.
Kitty is the mother of main character Eric Forman, and by extension, the mother figure for all of his friends, who tend to pretty much live at his house (indeed, some of them actually do come to live at his house, due to Kitty's insistence on taking in waifs and strays). Kitty is a truly fantastic mother and wife - she takes care of everyone, and everyone loves her for it (and is scared of her wrath!) She is also hilariously funny, knows how to get what she wants, and manages to run a household, keep control of her infuriating husband and son, and have a career as a nurse all at the same time (and all whilst keeping her hair perfectly rolled). She is kind, strong, quirky and a force to be reckoned with. I would love to have her in my life. And, whilst many other TV characters are almost too aspirational for me, Kitty is someone who inspires me and sets a near-realistic standard for the sort of person I could be - if I tried really, really hard.
