I didn't quite make my custom target for November, which was half of the remaining yearly target, but at least I managed to catch up a little. By the end of the month I was only (!) around 10k behind, instead of the near-15k-behind that I was at the start of the month.

This leaves me 16.5k words to write in December if I want to make my target. I definitely have enough things to write - the end of my WC Big Bang, three different advent fics, and hopefully some fandom stocking fics - but the issue will be time, because I have so much stuff to do on the house before Christmas, and then we'll have guests for five days. I'm still hopeful though!

October has not been a great month - I might do an update post later - and I've barely written anything in the last couple of weeks. This leaves me 14,626 words behind my target! /o\ And means I have to write around 13,600 words in November and another 13,600 in December in order to finish. That's around 500 words a day. This seems... wildly unlikely?

But it could happen!

I was so excited to finish Nature of the Chase, partly because it had been stalled for quite a while, and partly because it turned out twice as long as anything I've written before. It's given me a bit of confidence to write longer fics!

For June, though, I am hoping to write some more fills for the prompts I got for my trope bingo card, and there are a couple of prompts at

collarcorner that have caught my eye too :)

After that I will have to start thinking of what to write for the White Collar Big Bang I've signed up for at

whitecollar_bb - exciting! And, as always, quite terrifying.

...so, that went well. /o\ I tried to write, but my brain wasn't happy to play along. My sleep's been totally out of whack too. I'm below my overall target for the first time, but seeing as I have a fic deadline this month that requires me to write quite a bit, hopefully things will pick up soon. *bites nails*

I finished (the first draft of) my first WC Reverse BB, and added quite a bit to my second one.

I had a lot of days where I didn't write, but I'm still on track, though I have yet to emulate the heady heights of January! I'm really enjoying the fic I'm working on, it's the first time I've ever really written fantasy(/sci-fi?) so it's fun and challenging. I'm hoping I can get it mostly finished in April, fingers crossed!

My second WC Reverse BB, which is still proving troublesome, but which now at least has a beginning!

I also posted Deal With It which was written in January.

I didn't do so well in February. Embarrassingly I only wrote on three days! But three days is better than none :) I was feeling pretty rough a lot of the month. So I made less than half my monthly goal; fortunately due to success in January I'm not behind in my overall wordcount. I really need to make some more progress in my WCRBB though. Fingers crossed for March being better!

- A couple of short fics and a hope-it-will-eventually-be-long fic for my trope bingo card

I wrote 5347 words more than my target for this month! \o/ I've written more in January 2015 than I did in the whole of 2014, so I'm feeling pretty positive about that, even though I'm not thrilled with every word and I went a few days without writing anything. I haven't achieved a whole lot else this month to be fair as my health and sleep have been very up and down, so I've been resting a lot and just reading or writing, but still I feel that that's productive :) And the more I read and write, the more I think: a) I heart fanfic soo much, and b) yes, maybe I can has novel one day. *bounces*

Last year one of my resolutions was to write more. More fanfic, more original fic, more book ideas, just more. But as it turned out, I wrote less. In fact, from March to October I wrote not a single word of fic /o\. Overall, I wrote about 10k in 2014, of which over half was in December for my WC H/C Advent fic and yet-unposted Fandom Stocking fics. But getting back to writing has reminded me how much I love it, so! I signed up for this:

They've introduced a new lower pledge for 75,000 words (reserved for those with chronic conditions, which I qualify for, so yay, I guess \o?). That's 7.5 times what I wrote in 2014! I know it's kind of a small number compared with a lot of fanfic writers, but it's pretty epic for me, so please to be cheerleading :D I shall be boring you all with progress reports along the way!

Also, you should totally join as well :)
