I didn't quite make my custom target for November, which was half of the remaining yearly target, but at least I managed to catch up a little. By the end of the month I was only (!) around 10k behind, instead of the near-15k-behind that I was at the start of the month.

This leaves me 16.5k words to write in December if I want to make my target. I definitely have enough things to write - the end of my WC Big Bang, three different advent fics, and hopefully some fandom stocking fics - but the issue will be time, because I have so much stuff to do on the house before Christmas, and then we'll have guests for five days. I'm still hopeful though!

Good luck with it all!! Personally, I have troubles writing anyway these days (too long spent in grad school and *having* to write has taken a lot of the fun out of it for a while :-P), but I always have had issues when I'm stressed over things at home, etc., too, so I totally understand how the holidays might interfere just a tad! ;-) But regardless, I hope you make lots of progress this month, and if you ever need beta help, feel free to holler -- I'm much better at getting that done than I've ever been at writing! LOL!!

Argh, I know what you mean - I studied film at uni, and for so long afterwards it felt like a real trial to watch movies just for 'fun'!

I completely empathize -- even reading "real" books (even on my Kindle app) feels like more of a chore than an enjoyment, *still*, six months after getting out of that rat race. Somehow, though (THANK GOODNESS!!), fics don't do that to me, for whatever reason. They've literally saved my sanity the last few years, and I'm forever grateful for that!!

You're almost there! Good luck! I know December is usually one of the worst months to get things done, but I know you can do it! Just don't stress out over it.
