torchwood_las fics. This was written for the semi-final. The prompt was Mistakes and the object to mention was Weather. This won the round, which I have to admit, I was completely and utterly shocked by, as I didn't like this piece at all when I wrote it! It's grown on me a bit since though :)

torchwood_las. The prompts were Celebrations and a Timepiece (watch, clock etc). I won, which was very exciting and unexpected, and is my first fic-or-journal-related win of any kind! (It also means I get a banner, hooray!) Comments are love.

torchwood_las where you can not only enjoy these stories but also vote for your favourites! Leaving my own entry out of the equation, I think they're mostly of a very high standard so hopefully you should enjoy them, and the authors will definitely appreciate your participation!

On a personal note, this is probably the story I've been least confident about submitting to a LAS round, but then it's a while since I've written much and I'm still in a state of emotional bereft-ness thanks to the topic of my last post, so I'm just pleased I managed to get a fic done in time!

The second challenge of

jossverse_las is over, and I got through. I’m pleased with the result, though seeing as there were only four votes other than mine, it wasn’t exactly an epic win! This was the fic I wrote, for the prompt Emotional Baggage. It's my first time writing Spuffy, so yay! Though once it was finished, I realised it was perhaps a little too similar to a previous fic I wrote for Torchwood. Still, here it is and I hope someone enjoys it! I’d love some constructive feedback if anyone has the time or inclination :)

It's my first Buffy fic and I'd love some constructive feedback. Any suggestions of how I can improve my Whedon-related stories in future would be much appreciated!

Like to write? Love Angel, Buffy, Dollhouse and/or Firefly? Great! There is a new challenge, called

jossverse_las, where you write a fanfic of at least 100 words every two weeks based on a different prompt and where all pairings, including slash, is allowed! Then they get voted on and the person with the least votes is out that week and the person with the most is safe the next week till you have one author standing who wins! What do you win? A snazzy graphic and a $10 GC to Amazon or Barnes & Noble. You don't even need to be a GREAT writer!

I've signed up for this. Which seems a bit ~~stupid~~ ~~doomed~~ bold, seeing as I've never written a fic for the Jossverse before. I adore Buffy and Angel (and to a lesser extent, Firefly and Dollhouse), but I've only ever written fics for Torchwood. However, when I saw there was a Jack/Ianto LAS, which wouldn't be ideal for me, and no Torchwood LAS, I figured the Jossverse was the way to go. If I'd read everything properly, and not just looked under 'T', I would have noticed the Whoverse LAS, which includes TW. Still, that'll have to be left til next time, cos I'm not doing two at the same time!

So, I'm pretty much expecting to go out in the first round, but hopefully it'll be fun and good experience. Oh, and, join me! Yay!
