Happy belated Halloween f-list!

I come to you with pimpage!

I am really hoping to attend the awesome-looking Comic Con at Sea. It takes place on a beautiful cruise ship in summer 2015, and as well as getting to visit lots of lovely places and gorge yourself on cruise-food, you also get panels and workshops with actors and other guests! Attending are James Marsters and Nic Brendon from Buffy, Kai Owen and Gareth David-Lloyd from Torchwood, and loads of others! Plus also me.

If you fancy going, check out THIS WEBSITE or visit their livejournal page
[livejournal.com profile] comiccruise. And in a few months' time you could be sharing a hot tub with James Marsters! Plus also me.

Last time I went on on a 7 day cruise was in 2008 with a girlfriend, and it was about $864 a person, and going on a 5 day cruise last year was around $1200 for me the hubby and Lucian

Great pricing... so where were you going? Was that with a buy one get free one deal? Which companies? It could be useful to try to squeeze some more concessions :)

I've always used Carnival cruises, and as far as I know, that was regular pricing.

It makes sense, as Carnival has really great prices but doesn't cruise in Europe at all (could be those pesky port taxes, lol)

Royal pricing for people not part of the group can be found here:
http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruise/cruiseDetails/itineraryAndPricing.do?state=&packageCode=AL07M268&hasFireandPolice=&hasMilitary=&hasSenior=&date=201506&cruiseType=CO&sailDate=1150614

and go from 2529 (1500 at comiccon) in interior to 2819 (2450 at comiccon) in balcony so considering that the prices at comic con at sea includes all the panels even if someone do not want to come to the convention they still get a better price booking through the con... They used to be cheaper by a good $500.00 but as spots became rarer their prices are rising...

The problem with the US Carnival routes is that none of their ships have a big enough conference space or venue to have a convention in them or at least be dedicated to the convention long enough to have panels :(
