Day 12: Who had the best wedding?

Gwen/Rhys (TORCHWOOD)

There aren’t a lot of weddings in the programmes I watch, and even fewer that result in the participants actually getting married at the end. So it had to be Gwen and Rhys. Admittedly, Gwen was pregnant with alien spawn, and there was a punch-up, an INFURIATING shape-shifter scene, a shooting and an incident with a chain saw. Oh, and Gwen arguably married the wrong guy. But hey, her hair looked lovely, and she got to dance with her captain at last. So it wasn’t all bad. Plus, as much as I ship Gwen/Jack, I do have a soft spot for Gwen and Rhys.

(I wanted an extra photo of Jack and Gwen's dance of denial, but I couldn't find one, so have a picture of Jack's big gun instead!)

One of my fave eps. of the entire series--chock full of shenanigans! And I'm a huge Rhys fangirl...and there's Jack and his big obvious gun too...

Jack and his gun...Rhys and his chainsaw... I do like it when the TW men bring out their weaponry :D

It's too bad that most of the people who attended the wedding won't remember it. But Jack and Gwen's dance was clearly the highlight and I honestly don't see how anyone watches that scene and the one immediately following it and honestly believes that Jack feels the same way about Ianto. PERIOD.

No I can't see it either. I think it's the scene that shows how Jack feels about them both most clearly - he is so gutted and yet sadly resigned when Ianto comes to break up their dance. It's incredibly well acted by John ♥
