Glee is back!
Feb. 13th, 2011 09:41 pmI have to admit I've missed Glee. I've been thinking that it's been going downhill since the middle of season 1, and it's been a while since I've obsessively downloaded every track from every episode, but I definitely felt its absence and I was super happy to get two episodes this week. And they were the best ones for a while! So tonight I've fallen back into my old ways, and every track is now happily sitting on my harddrive. My gleekitude is renewed! Hurrah! And I have Thoughts about the episodes too. Not Deep Thoughts, but Thoughts nonetheless. Mostly to do with hair. I will share them with you.
- Rachel’s hair looks gorgeous when it’s curled
- Quinn’s hair looks gorgeous when it’s curled
- Quinn looks amazing all the time, and I wish I looked like her. She even looks hot when she has mono. I have had mono, and I did NOT look hot
- Blaine is still adorable, but I can’t help thinking his glee club must be getting bored of being his back-up singers and are one step away from a violent blazer-ed mutiny
- I must have Rachel's pink starry pyjamas. And preferrably a Kurt-style friend to cuddle in bed with too
- Rachel and Puck need to sing together more, and have proper screen time together, with actual dialogue. There’s so much more chemistry there than with the other ‘couples’. 'Need You Now' was awesome
- It would really help if the show could restrict itself to love triangles like normal programmes. I think we’ve now moved beyond love pentagon territory and have entered hexagon or possibly even heptagon terrain. Writers, is there really any need to introduce a Sam/Santana dynamic? How about you concentrate on the twenty-eight relationships you’ve already established? And perhaps if you hadn’t already covered almost every possible combination, then you wouldn’t be being forced to rehash the same ones halfway through the second series. I really don’t need a rerun of Quinn/Finn. Though a rerun of Rachel/Will would be encouraged.
- I don't really like Lauren, but in some ways she's a pretty impressive role model for teenage girls. Her self respect is epic.
