GYWO 2016: The disaster therof

I have signed up for GYWO 2017! \o/ I have a shiny new spreadsheet! \o/

But I feel like I need to make a record of 2016 first, despite the fact that it was not such a great year for writing /o\ /o\

Goal for 2016: 75,000
Actual word count: 14,321

I can't quite believe I wrote so little, but I feel motivated to ensure this year is better! It's off to a reasonable start with a few fics having been written for fandom stocking which I can post later in the week :) I will try and do actual progress posts again this year, a la 2015, in the hope that will keep me on course! I'm also hoping to participate in more challenges, to try and write some longer fics again, and to try and finish off a few of my WIPs. Good luck to anyone else who's got writing goals for the year ♥

I know exactly how you feel. 2016 SUCKED in terms of writing for me. I didn't even keep count (too depressing).

But! 2017 shall be better! *is determined* I didn't sign up for GYWO this year because I feel it would just stress me out (instead of motivate me, like in previous years) but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and will send juicy carrots over for your plot bunnies. :D

(PS: Ever think of doing another round of LAS? Might help with the word count, too. *g*)

I would like to do another round, but I don't think I have time ATM :( Although, I think it would be a lot smaller now that the fandom is smaller, so it might take up less time. I shall have a think! (It wouldn't help my word count as the mod can't participate but it might help others' :D)

Please do give a think to another round of LAS. It was so much fun! And you might be right about it being smaller now with fandom being smaller but on the other hand, Run the Con is alive and strong...so clearly, folks still like to play. :)

I just totally forgot that you wouldn't be able to participate as mod. /o\ Sowwy. :( OTOH, you'd do a very good deed, which would give you good karma, which in turn will make you more creative and feed the plot bunnies. (It's a scientific fact.)

A shiny new spreadsheet is good motivation to get writing. :) And you may not have reached your goal last year, but you DID write. I wish you lots of luck in your writing endeavors this year. :)
