Day 8

In your own space, share a favorite piece of original canon (a TV episode, a song, a favorite interview, a book, a scene from a movie, etc) and explain why you love it so much.

I am the worst at answering 'favourites' questions. Too much pressure! How can I choose a favourite show, or episode, or character? How can I pick a best inspirational speech or heartbreaking death or heart-fluttering kiss or funniest scene when there are so many that I love so dearly?

So instead, here's a song from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. It's not the best or deepest or smartest song from the show, but it is super-catchy and always makes me laugh, and as far as Songs About Urinary Tract Infections Sung By Former Disney Princes go, it's DEFINITELY my favourite. (I mean, there's only one to choose from, but still. It's pretty great.)

Also, weirdly, this was the song that gave me my crush on Santino Fontana. Yeah, I don't know either.

Ah. I guess I don't think of him as a Disney Prince....so much as a Disney villain. Hmmm...is Hans the first villain Disney Prince?

Yeah I think so! I checked with google which threw up Prince John from Robin Hood as well, but he's a) not a love interest and b) a lion, so I don't think he counts :D

No, he definitely doesn't count -- he was never going to wed Maid Marian.
I think she was his ward in the film.

I've been trying to remember if the musical "Urinetown" had a similar song. It's the only thing I've seen that might have?

I'll definitely put it on my Must Watch list... along with Community, Parks and Rec and Brooklyn 99. SO MANY THINGS TO WATCH!

Haha, I saw it on Broadway and loved it, then the hoity-toity prep school that one of my nanny-kids went to put on a production and it sort of scarred me for life. Haha, just kidding. But it was disturbing.
