Yesterday's and the day before's!

Question List

Day 28: A pairing that you will never understand.
House/Stacey (HOUSE)

I just didn’t get this. Not only did they have zero chemistry, but it seemed to make no sense that someone as boring as Stacey would keep the interest of someone like House. I was glad when she left, and thank goodness she hasn’t returned (well, not in any of the episodes I’ve seen so far anyway!).

Day 29: What ship had the best proposal?

Danny/Jordan (STUDIO 60 ON THE SUNSET STRIP)
This was just THE most amazing proposal. I adored the couple and I cried my eyes out when Danny asked her to marry him. Then I nearly died of tension waiting to see whether Jordan would live through the C-section. And after the surgery, when she asked Danny to adopt her new daughter, I thought it couldn't get any better. Until she showed him the adoption papers... and she'd used Danny's surname for her daughter. Because she'd 'hoped'. :')

I couldn't find a picture or video of the actual proposal, so instead you get the adorable 'I'm coming for you' moment from the middle of the series. Enjoy, and then go buy the DVDs!

And hey, look! I embedded a video under my LJ cut! I am QUEEN OF TECHNOLOGY!

I liked Sela Ward when they first introduced her character at the end of the first season, but her stint in the second was so MEH. By about episode 2.2 I was Ooo-ver it!

Oh, Studio 60. It was the show that almost but never quite was. There were so many things about it I liked, or in the case of Bradley Whitford, loved, that it's demise left me with mixed feelings aplenty. I'm going through a nostalgia kick with a West Wing marathon, and now I think I'm going to tack Studio 60 on the end of that.

Ugh. I think the writers, and specifically Sorkin as creator/show runner, were waaaay more into Harriet and Harriet/Matt than the viewers--or at least me. Like, yeah I get that she and Matt were thinly veiled versions of Sorkin and Kristin Chenoweth, but the mechanics of that relationship were only interesting to the parties involved.

But hey, the presence of Bradley Whitford forgives a lot! As do resolved endings.

I had to evolve from instinctive Stacy hatred based on canon and on my H/W obsession. In the moment it was impossible not to hate her and practically cheer when House screwed her and then screwed her over in Need To Know.

I think I've gotten more tolerant of the character and her place in House's life since she hasn't been there.
