30 Days of Shipping - Days 20 and 21

Ugh, I feel horrid. I have something that doesn't seem to be able to make up its mind if it's a cold or the flu. Either way, it's unpleasant. And it has been hampering me from updating my LJ. So today and tomorrow (providing I haven't gotten even worse by then) you get a double dose of shipping to compensate.

Day 20: The can't-stand-the-sexual-tension pairing.
Jack/Gwen (TORCHWOOD)

Ok, so I’ve already used them once, but I couldn't resist putting them down for this question. And I do love them, so I figured they deserved one repeat. Besides, every time I think of sexual tension, it’s Jack and Gwen’s gun training scene from Ghost Machine, and the pinning-Gwen-against-the-wall scene from Meat that spring to mind. Unbelievably hot.

Day 21: A pairing you like and noone understands why.
Dean/Jo (SUPERNATURAL)

         

I liked this pairing almost instantly, and I have no idea why it wasn’t developed, or why Jo was in so few episodes. The rest of the fandom seems to hate her, and to hate the idea of Dean and Jo together even more, but I would have loved to see more scenes between them. I think they had great chemistry and could really have understood each other. My heart just went out to Jo whenever Dean failed to recognise what they might have been.

(On a side note, a silver lining to feeling ill is that I get to use the 'sore' mood and have a pic of Owen tending to Gwen's gunshot wound. How cute was that scene?)

*GASP* I adore Jo. Though I am biased because she's played by an Israeli... but still, Jo! Jooooooo~ <3 (I refuse to ship anything in SPN because THERE BE DRAGONS WITH BAD TEMPERS)

Yeah I think shipping anyone is doomed really, they're sure to die a grisly death at some point! Maybe that's why there's so many Sam/Dean shippers, they're the only ones who are gonna stay in it til the end (even if they do die a few times along the way!)

Oh yay, I think you're the first person I've found who likes them! And yeah, there's just no good fic :( I did find one story with a nice concept but it was so badly written it set my teeth on edge :-/

Ab-so-bloody-lutely. Jack & Gwen are sexual tension personified, especially in the gun scene, but NOT JUST in the gun scene. (And a hardy fuck to those insist that is the only time the chemistry was palpable.)

I know, I can't even count them - I thought there was chemistry every time they were on screen together tbh! But I did want an excuse to use that photo on my journal so the gun scene had to be mentioned :D

Understood. If you only have one shot to convince someone of the Jack/Gwen chemistry, that's the scene you have to use.
